Write/Space is the Northern California Writing Project’s blog hosting site. Weblogs provide a way for individuals to contribute actively to the content of the world wide web, rather than be simple consumers of the information that’s already out there.
Would you like to have your own Write/Space weblog? It’s easy.
- Follow the directions found in the Create a Blog page
- You’ll need an account, which you can create in the Create a Blog page, too
- If you already have an account, you’ll need to log in
- A terrific guide to customizing and using your new blog is the WordPress introductory manual written by Gail Desler (of the Area 3 Writing Project at UC Davis)
- Gail’s manual is specifically written for blogs hosted by Edublogs.org (a great organization providing an excellent service). Because our blogs use the same software (something called WordPress Multi-User), most of the manual applies directly to our blogs, too.
